Description: CLEARGAZETEST INC builds objective, explainable measurement of human readiness from the eyes — high-rate oculomotor and pupillary signals, optionally synchronized with dry EEG — for defense, aviation, sport and medicine. Founder: Dr. Michael D. Duplessie, FRCS (Ophth., Glasgow), ophthalmologist and eye-tracking scientist since 1996. We seek a part-time data-science / ML lead to be named as Key Personnel on a U.S. Navy SBIR Phase I proposal (aircrew readiness) and to lead the modelling if funded. The work: personalized-baseline anomaly detection on oculomotor and pupillary time series — event detection (fixation/saccade/blink), main-sequence analysis, pupil pre-processing, track-loss handling — with transparent models first, an explanation for every flag, and explicit false-alarm control; proof of concept on public and synthetic data; reproducible Python; roadmap adapters for EEG, HRV and voice.
Requirements: shipped time-series ML on physiological or behavioral signals (eye tracking, EEG, HRV, wearables); Python; solid statistics; comfort with small-N within-subject designs; care about explainability and false alarms more than leaderboard accuracy. Recent PhDs and post-docs welcome.
