Membership in the BCI Society is open to all scientists, principal investigators, post docs, and students from around the world involved in the many research and practical aspects of BCI research. We welcome all involved in BCIs, including engineers, clinicians, therapists, business people and users of BCI technology.
In addition to the connections you will make with fellow members, your membership includes eligibility to:
- Discounted registration fee for the International BCI Meeting
- Qualify for Student Awards to attend the International BCI Meeting
- Submit an abstract for the International BCI Meeting
- Submit proposals for satellite meetings of the International BCI Meeting
- Invitation to the member-only SfN Social
- Access to the BCI Thursdays and other online events
- Vote in the annual elections of the Board of Directors of the Society
- Stand for election to, and serve on, the Society Board of Directors
- Participate in all Society activities and governance
- Receive regular Society email updates and notices

Memberships are available for both one and two year calendar terms:
- One Year Term – January 1 to December 31
- Two Year Term – January 1 of first year to December 31 of second year
Global Membership Initiative
The BCI Society wants to ensure that membership fees do not unduly restrict who is able to join our society. We are pleased to introduce a reduced membership fees determined by the member’s country of residence. Determination is made by using tables listing low income and low-middle income countries as defined by the World Bank. That is, members based in low income and low-middle income countries pay 20% and 40% of the full-member fee, respectively.
Please note you must be based full-time in the applicable countries in order to be eligible for the discount. Please Contact Us to receive the membership code.

On the landing page select the “Forgot Password” link under the “Forgot Password” heading. Enter your current email related to your membership account (this is the email you are receiving BCI Society communications at), and you will be sent an email with instructions to reset your password. Please note, the reset email may take up to 30 minutes to arrive in your inbox. Once you have created your new password, you can log-in to your Conference Manager Dashboard. These credentials will also be required for submitting an abstract and registering for the conference.
The center tile of the dashboard will say Membership Enrollment – click the link that says, “Enroll Now”. Once you select the appropriate membership type, you will have the option to pay online via our secure payment processer. If you would prefer to pay via phone, fax, mail or electronic funds transfer, you will find the necessary information listed.
You will also be able to update your profile with your social media information as well as participate in the members’ directory.
If you are not a current member, please click the button below and create an account.
