Membership for BCI users, their family members or caregivers
The BCI Society invites BCI users, family members, and caregivers to join our global community through our discounted User Membership. This membership is designed to ensure that the voices of people who use BCI technologies are heard, valued, and represented.
Applicants must have experience using a BCI system as part of a research study and/or in daily life that 1) meets the Society’s definition and 2) functions or would function as an assistive technology or rehabilitation device for the applicant. BCI users accepted under this membership category may also invite one caregiver to join at the discounted rate. Applications from family members or caregivers alone will be considered in cases where the BCI user is unable to join.
Emeritus membership application
Applicants for Emeritus membership must be nominated by a Society member in good standing (self-nominations are welcome).
Please email a CV and a nomination letter outlining the applicant’s contributions to the BCI field and the BCI Society to the Society secretariat (bci@podiumconferences.com). Applications are reviewed by the Board.
Global Membership Initiative
The BCI Society wants to ensure that membership fees do not unduly restrict who is able to join our society. We are pleased to introduce a reduced membership fees determined by the member’s country of residence. Determination is made by using tables listing low income and low-middle income countries as defined by the World Bank. That is, members based in low income and low-middle income countries pay 20% and 40% of the full-member fee, respectively.
Please note you must be based full-time in the applicable countries in order to be eligible for the discount. Please Contact Us to receive the membership code.
Join Our Community Today
